Center Stage: Faith debuts September 13th
Delco Story Slam is taking August off! We return to Burlap and Bean in on Wednesday, September 17th with the theme of HEAVEN. Tickets available here.
We’re excited to debut a new Storytelling night. West Chester Center Stage will be an occasional series featuring real people telling personal stories tied to an important theme. Our first West Chester Center Stage is themed FAITH and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Act In Faith, a local non-profit that serves un- and underemployed residents in the greater West Chester area. The night will consist of approximately 10 stories told by people who practice diverse faiths – Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, and other faiths. Some stories will be touching, some may be intense, and others will make you laugh. No matter what your faith, this will be an insightful night that supports a great cause.
FAITH is scheduled for Saturday, September 13 at Thomas Patrick Hall, which is located behind St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in downtown West Chester. St. Agnes has ample free parking. Tickets can be purchased HERE for $15 with a portion of the proceeds donated to Act In Faith of Greater West Chester. Check out their website to learn how they support our community.
Unlike our Story Slams, where people sign up the night of the event, stories for Center Stage were submitted earlier and the night is curated. We’ll hear a diverse set of stories, from people who have questioned their own faith, taken up a new faith, been inspired to drop their faith, or learned a trick to renew their faith.
St. Agnes has a parking lot located off of N. New St. From the corner of Chestnut and New St, take New St. half a block and enter on the left. If this lot is full, proceed down New St., make a right on Gay St. and park in the municipal lot to the right.
