Our February 3rd Story Slam is going to be “Sick!”

DSC_0024Are you feeling ill?

On Tuesday, February 3rd, our Delco Story Slam theme is “Sick!” We want to hear stories about illness, and stories about craziness. Our Story Slams for the 2015 season are being held at Maggie O’Neill’s Irish Pub in Drexel Hill, and you can purchase your tickets by clicking HERE.

What kind of stories are we telling this night? The theme of SICK definitely includes stories from a variety of illnesses. Maybe you had the flu or are something that didn’t agree with you. Perhaps you drank too much and ended up tossing your cookies in an inappropriate place. Your story might entail taking care of a loved one on their deathbed or coming across a terrible car accident. We want stories about sights that made you sick; ghastly incidents such as broken legs or…. you get the picture. Also, the slang word “sick” has its own connotations. According to the Urban Dictionary, SICK can mean “crazy, cool, insane.”

Whether you tell a story or just come out and listen, our February 3rd Story Slam is bound to have a few laughs, and a few cringeworthy moments also. Pick up your tickets HERE.

DSC_0049If you missed our “Resolutions” Story Slam in January, you can listen to three of our favorite stories on the Delco Story Slam podcast. It’s easy to subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or listen on your computer by clicking HERE.

Once again, we’re teaming up with Chester County Night School to offer a two night Storytelling Workshop at Henderson High School in West Chester, PA. The class includes one night of instruction to help you develop your story and one night of telling your stage in front of classmates. To register for CCNS Storytelling Class, click here. We’ve also started offering custom Stoytelling Classes for businesses and non-profits. Learn more here.

Oh, we recommend you check out this video recap of our January Story Slam! Thanks to Oleander Video Productions for producing this awesome story!
